It started in a castle.
I was in Manchester, UK — a psychic retreat inside a centuries-old estate. Every wall was covered floor to ceiling with portraits of aristocrats. Old families. Old power. Old money. They stared back at me with that particular confidence that only comes from knowing exactly who you are.
And then it hit me: what if those were dogs?
Lady Donna came from that moment. But she didn't let me choose who she was — she told me. That's how it always works. The dogs show up and reveal themselves: who they are, or who they've always wanted to be.
Lady Donna always knew she was a lady. She just needed someone to paint her that way.
